Low Grade Cards: Finding Beauty in Imperfection

I love discovering old beat-up baseball cards. To me, they mean more than a gem mint 10. Like the players and game they represent, a beater baseball card often has an interesting story or two to tell. It is an artifact of time and space made real by someone who loved it. Whether it was left out in the rain or drawn on by a daydreaming kid, folded up in a pocket, taped to a wall, trimmed down to fit in a scrapbook... it's perfect imperfection.
